We started the visit out with a sonogram. I swear we could have just sat for hours and watched this little human. "Baby A" seemed to be pretty relaxed on this visit! We got to see a little movement, but for the most part, the baby was stretched out, just chillin'! This time, it seemed as though the baby was laying on his or her left side, just staring back at us! It was unreal! The tech tried to get the baby to move around so she could get a profile shot of the face, but Baby A was not having it! In fact, the tech poked at my tummy to try and get the baby to shift positions, but when she put the gadget back on my tummy, we had the exact same shot as before, except this time, the mouth was moving! It was hilarious!! I told the tech, "You've made my kid mad!" Matt and I both knew..."Yep, that's our Baby!" We never did get the profile shot, but we are totally fine with that! The measurement this time was Crown to Rump, but isn't going to be as exact as previous visits because the baby is starting to get a little crowded. On our next visit, the tech said we could find out the sex, but we have both agreed that we don't want to know! We want to be surprised!! (Much to our parents' and friends' dismay!!)
After we finished with the sonogram, we met with the doctor. This trip we only had 11 questions! HA! You all know me...11 isn't too bad! Our Doctor is so great and patient with us!! She always takes time to listen and answer each of our questions. When she was done with that, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was absolutely amazing! We have had a few moments so far that have made this journey "real" and this was definitely one of them. There is this wave of calm and peace that just comes over you when you hear it...that's the best way I can describe it!
Our next visit is December 7th...
